About Us


BugzSHOP is owned by SHARED EARTH Ltd, a retailer and wholesaler of fair trade handicrafts.

SHARED EARTH was founded in 1986 by its current Managing Director, Jeremy Piercy. After spending time travelling in several third world countries, Jeremy decided he wanted to do something to help redress the imbalance of wealth. He started with a small shop in York selling a few fair trade products. SHARED EARTH now owns eight shops across the UK, has many wholesale customers and an online shop.

Jeremy has recently written a book telling of his experiences of working for over 20 years in the fair trade business. It is a serious topic, but written in a light-hearted way.
BugzShop is the UK distributor of Window Bugz: decorative butterflies, dragonflies and bees for the home, produced by a supplier in South Africa. Window Bugz may be attached to windows, mirrors or any other smooth surface. We also sell to wholesale customers.
